Full-Scale Operation of RockYou Asia Inc.

SOFTBANK CORP. announces that it has concluded a joint venture agreement today with a social application provider, RockYou, Inc. (Head office: California, USA) and other companies which provide social applications on Social Networking Sites (SNS) concerning a joint venture company called ‘RockYou Asia Inc.’(Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo) to start a full-scale operation.

This joint venture company aims at providing advanced services such as social applications to match the evolved methods of utilization of the SNS's which are spreading rapidly throughout Asia.

In addition to SOFTBANK CORP. and RockYou, Inc., GungHo Online Entertainment, Inc. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) etc. participate in the establishment of the joint venture company.

About RockYou, Inc.

RockYou, Inc. is one of the biggest SNS widget providers in the world who provides widgets such as ‘SuperWall’ through which one can share pictures, videos etc with friends on SNS. Its business model is centered on targeted advertising in application.
