Change of Corporate name of Vodafone K.K.

Vodafone K.K. (head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Masayoshi Son; hereinafter “Vodafone”), a subsidiary of SOFTBANK CORP. announces that it will change its corporate name (trade name) to “SOFTBANK MOBILE Corp.” as of 1 October 2006 (Sun). Its brand name will be also changed from “Vodafone” to “SoftBank” and its corporate logo will be shifted to the design commonly used among SOFTBANK Group companies.

Along with the change of brand, the names and designs of customer contact points across the nation such as 1,856^* ‘Vodafone Shops,’ products and services that Vodafone provides, will be changed accordingly toward 1 October, the day of the corporate name change.

Vodafone is committed to generating maximum synergy effects as a part of the SOFTBANK Group, ‘Comprehensive digital information company.’ Vodafone is also committed to providing innovative products and services with high value added to realize ‘IT revolution’ that the SOFTBANK Group aims at.
