
SOFTBANK Group companies are working to raise awareness of compliance among officers and employees by providing e-learning training and training by department, theme, and job position such as training for officers, managers, and new hires. As one of the Group-wide initiatives, Group officers attend training in the form of group discussion sessions using case studies of compliance by an external lawyer as an instructor to reaffirm the officers' responsibilities for compliance. In fiscal 2010, 14 sessions were held, with approximately 300 people attending in total. The sessions covered seven themes in areas of Act on the Prohibition of Private Monopolization and Maintenance of Fair Trade, Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, Labor law and bribery related matters.

Compliance Awareness Month is held annually for all Group officers and employees to raise an awareness of compliance. Throughout the month, internal and external lecturers give seminars and events organized on various themes. A large number of officers and employees of the Group participate in these seminars and events every year.

The Compliance Manual is distributed to Group officers and employees as a code of conduct for their daily work. The Manual explains the purpose of the SOFTBANK Group Officer and Employee Code of Conduct, providing specific examples of important points in a Q&A format.

Group officers and employees are invited to create compliance slogans every year. The best slogans are used for posters, which are displayed at Group companies to enhance an awareness of compliance.
