The Commerce and Service Division of SoftBank BB Corp. carries on SoftBank's original business, which has spanned the past 30 years. The Division has one of Japan's largest operations for the distribution and sales of a wide range of IT-related products, from hardware to software. SoftBank established the Fukuoka SoftBank HAWKS professional baseball team in January 2005 with the aim of triggering a revolution in professional baseball, and creating a more entertaining baseball experience in Japan and around the world. The team won the Pacific League in 2010, and the Japan Series Championship in 2011, both for the first time since their transfer to SoftBank ownership. As we continue to develop as a complete entertainment supplier business we aim to develop a range of related businesses around the operation of Fukuoka SoftBank HAWKS, and its baseball team.
